Chile gave Mexico a reality check today, as La Roja completely dominated El Tri with high pressure moves and making the most out of their chances.
This game not only meant the end of Mexico's 22-game unbeaten streak, but also handed them the biggest defeat in the team's history. El Tri's biggest loss until today came during the 1978 World Cup, when they lost against Germany with a 6-0 score line.
Edu Vargas' poker led the way for Chile. Three of those goals came during the second half, and confirmed the Chilean striker as the tournament's top scorer. Furthermore, Alexis Sánchez toppled Ivan Zamorano as the team's second-best striker of all-time with 34 goals. He just needs three more goals to become La Roja's best striker ever.
Fans all around the world had a field day trolling Mexico's awful display. Here are some of their comments.

They ended the game? Wow that was rigged if they would've added 3 more minutes Mexico would've easily tied.
