According to England midfielder Jack Wilshere, the Three Lions will be heading into their second Euro 2016 match against Wales with the utmost confidence.

After England's bittersweet draw to Slovakia in UEFA Euro 2016, Arsenal footballer Wilshere assures his side is calm and claims they will perform well against Bale and Co., in hopes to secure three points.

Roy Hodgson's squad have only one point on the table and will be seeking to bag a win on June 16 at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis against neighbors Wales.

Speaking to UEFA.com, the 24-year-old centre-back has revealed his team is excited to start their second match of this top-flight tournament after a strong performance from the English lads in their opening Euro 2016 match.

"We're in a good place, naturally, if you dominate a game like that and don't win it, you're going to be disappointed, but after sleeping on it and looking back on the performance, we're happy.

"We played well, we moved the ball around and kept the ball. In the past, England teams have been accused of not being technically good enough, of not keeping the ball, and we showed that we are good enough.

"We just need to maintain our standards that we're setting. Against Russia, of course, we need to look at the goal and analyse what went wrong there, but apart from that the performance was brilliant."

Jack Wilshere, who came on as a replacement for Wayne Rooney in the second-half of the match against Russia, insists he is in great form.Jack-Wilshere

"I feel good, I feel sharp. I've been back a while now and I've got a good number of games under my belt and feel sharp."

On Thursday, England will go head-to-head with Group B opponents Wales.
