England's Daniel Sturridge is delighted to be in France, as his side prepares for this summer's Euro tournament.

This will be England's 14th European Championship, as they are set to face Russia, Wales, and Slovakia in Group B.

With only three days left to go until the glorious UEFA Euro 2016 begins, Daniel Sturridge spoke to UEFA.com about his side's attacking options as well as his own hopes of participating in this top-flight tournament.

The 26-year-old Liverpool striker believes his team should approach their first game against Russia with the right mentality to avoid pressuring the squad, telling UEFA.com

"I wouldn't necessarily stress about winning the first game – it's just about going into the game with the right mentality and not putting pressure on ourselves. As long as we don't have any pressure on us from inside the camp, we will go out there and have fun, and when you have fun, you have success."

Sturridge also believes he has an important position in the squad and knows he has the ability and technique to help his national team.

"I'm feeling great, very happy and looking forward to helping my team hopefully have some success in the competition. I'm always confident in my own ability – it is down to the manager to choose the squad and the players on any given day which he feels best to play against the opposition. I'm focusing on my ability on the training field."England

With numerous of star forwards in Roy Hodgson's squad, the England international claims the Three Lions have many attacking options, which will help lead their team to success.

"I think we have goals in the team. We have a lot of players, not just attacking wise but in midfield, who add a lot to the team. We have great defensive attributes as well as the full-backs who are attacking, so we have a lot of strengths and are just looking forward to it all gelling and hopefully going out there and getting some success."

Sturridge has made 18 international appearances for England, netting five goals. Will England exceed the expectations and obtain European glory this summer?
