Dani Alves wants Coutinho to follow Luis Suarez’s footsteps to Nou Camp.

Outgoing Barcelona defender Dani Alves has urged Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho to join the Spanish giants. Alves is set to leave the Nou Camp after eight seasons with the Catalan club. Reports in Spain suggest that he is set to join Italian Serie A giants Juventus this summer. 

Coutinho is a former Inter Milan forward to joined the Reds in 2013 and has since scored 21 league goals in 107 appearances in England. On the other hand, Dani Alves, joined Barca from Sevilla in 2008, made 247 league appearances and scored 14 goals in the process.

Speaking to Yahoo Esportes, the 33-year-old said:

"Football is about living the moment,

"Liverpool have history but you should consider playing for top Champions League sides. He (Coutinho) has the quality to play for Barcelona."

If Coutinho agrees to follow Dani’s advice, he could become the second Liverpool player to join Barcelona after Luis Suarez in the past two seasons.
