Italy will resume their Euro 2016 preparations with a friendly clash against Scotland at the Ta' Qali National Stadium on Sunday, May 29th. Here are some live TV listings & online streaming options for Italy vs. Scotland.

Although he will be soon moving on to his next job, Antonio Conte certainly will want to make a good impression in France this summer. The ex-Juventus boss, who helped the Bianconeri resume their spot as Italy's no. 1 side by guiding them to three straight Scudetti, will now be tasked with helping Chelsea rebound after a horrible season.

However, first up for him will be to help another team rebound: his own national side. Italy performed poorly at their last international tournament - crashing out in the group stages at the World Cup - and the Azzurri will be keen on re-establishing themselves among Europe's elite this summer in France.

Italy

Four years ago, Italy made an impressive run to the Euro 2012 finals. Given that the Azzurri had done badly at the 2010 World Cup, not many had expected the team, who were under the leadership of Cesare Prandelli to make much of an impact that the tournament. However, they were no match for Spain, who crushed them 4-0 en route to winning their second straight Euro trphpy.

Earlier this week, Conte's squad selection made some waves when it was announced that veteran midfielder Andrea Pirlo was left out of contention after making a move to MLS. Another notable exclusion is Toronto's Sebastian Giovinco, who was snubbed despite breaking numerous league records whilst winning the MLS MVP Award and Golden Boot.

Having suffered a heavy defeat in their last friendly two months ago, Conte will now hope that was not a harbinger of things to come for the Azzurri at the upcoming tournament in France. Already without the services of key midfielders Claudio Marchisio and Marco Verratti due to injury, he will have to figure out his best starting XI quickly before the Italy's first group stage game - a very tough one as it will be against the no. 2 side in the world: Belgium.

Scotland will be the side they will first take on prior to another friendly against Finland next month, and Italy have not lost since November 9, 1965. Their last meeting was the Euro 2008 qualifiers on November 3, 2007 and it was a match that Scottish fans will not remember too fondly as they felt they were on the wrong end of some officiating decisions that denied them a spot at the tournament.

Scotland

As for Scotland, they have only qualified for two Euro championships - in 1992 and 1996. Both of those appearances ended in the first round. The same can be said of their World Cup participation - of their eight appearances, none of them have seen them clear the group stages. Currently ranked 40th in the world, Gordon Strachan's men will be facing France following Sunday's match.

However, they naturally would have wanted to be one of the 24 teams featuring at this summer's Euros as opposed to serving as a warm-up partner for both the Azzurri and Les Bleus. Their attempt to secure a spot started off decently enough, with wins against Georgia, the Republic of Ireland, and the group's worst team, Gibraltar.

There were also solid draws against Poland. Unfortunately, Georgia spoiled their plans by managing to beat them in their rematch. Although the Eastern European side finished second from last, meaning that they had no hopes of qualifying anyway, Scotland were unable to make their superiority count and ended up paying the price by throwing away all three points. This, coupled with another loss to Germany and a draw with Poland meant that Scotland ended up in fourth, three points behind the Republic of Ireland.

Still, there is another tournament for them to aspire to - the 2018 World Cup. Given that they have sides like England and Slovakia for company in their group, Strachan will be certainly using this upcoming friendly as a way to test things out of his own.

Will Scotland be able to end their long wait for a win against Italy? Or will the Azzurri bounce back from their crushing March loss with a victor?
