With Zlatan Ibrahimovic having waved goodbye, the Ligue 1 champions are in search of a world-class attacker.

With Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic having bid farewell to PSG, leaving the club after four trophy-laden years at Parc des Princes, the French giants are in search of a world-class attack to fill the void left by the 34-year-old.

However, OK Diario claim that the reigning Ligue 1 champions have made advancements in their attempts to land a new superstar attacker, with the Spanish news outlet writing that they’ve opened official negotiations with a Barca ace.

According to OK Diario, that man is none other than South American sensation Neymar, a man whom Les Parisiens have long been rumored to be after. As written in the report, Laurent Blanc’s side made a huge breakthrough and sat down with representatives of the Brazilian star.

Neymar, Lionel Messi, Barcelona, Sevilla, Copa del Rey

PSG Sporting Director Olivier Létang and the club’s Financial Director reportedly met with Neymar’s camp in a rendezvous at the Grand Café de Paris, Boulevard des Capucines on Thursday, as the 24-year-old Selecao captain’s representatives looked for assurances from the French giants.

Two things were promised to Neymar: the first being a €25m-per-season wage which will be a huge upgrade to the current €5m-per-season payroll he is on at Camp Nou, whilst also pledging to build a squad worthy of winning the Champions League.

The mega-rich Ligue 1 side are even willing to meet the former Santo man’s €190m release clause; however, the final decision on whether Neymar will be in Paris next season will come down to club president Nasser Al Khelaifi and the player’s father.

One roadblock remains in the way of their talks, as PSG want 100% of Neymar’s image rights, whilst the Brazilian is adamant on keeping 50% to himself.
