The Italian boss, who is set to become Bayern Munich's coach in the following days, believes the 'marriage' between Mourinho and the EPL side is 'perfect'.

With Jose Mourinho's appointment as Manchester United's new boss seemingly being a matter of hours, voices around the footballing world have been heard both ways. While Manchester United legend Eric Cantona believes The Special One wouldn't be as "special" with the Red Devils, one of Mourinho's most esteemed colleagues believes the move will be wonderful for both parties.

Former Real Madrid & Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti thinks the Portuguese manager will work as a charm with Manchester United, since the tactician's style and the team's needs will fit perfectly together.

"I think it's a wonderful challenge for both parties. Mourinho is one of the best in the business, and his experience coaching Premier League teams is priceless. Manchester United needs a coach just like him," Ancelotti told Sky Sports.

The Italian tactician will be coaching Bayern Munich next season. He's the first manager to coach in all of Europe's Top 5 leagues.

"The 'marriage' between Mourinho and Manchester United could be wonderful. I believe that Mourinho's experience added to the team's skills could end up with them winning the Premier League title," Ancelotti added.

Asked about the rivalry between Mourinho and Pep Guardiola, the former AC Milan footballer suggested fans from Manchester City and the Red Devils should brace themselves, since the show that both managers will put up will be one for the ages.

"Watching this season's Manchester Derbies will be very exciting. Having the best coaches in the world living in the same city will be incredible. Fans will be in for a treat," the Italian manager concluded.
