According to the Mail, any side in the prestigious European competition can trigger his release clause and sign the Premier League winner.

Premier League champions Leicester face an uphill battle to hold onto their star players after remarkably beating England’s top dogs to the title, as Europe’s elites look to rob the Foxes of their prized assets.

French midfield ace N’Golo Kante is tipped to leave the King Power Stadium this summer, as a £20m release clause in his contract could see the Bleues battler bought for a bargain. Furthermore, questions remain as to whether PFA Player of the Year winner Riyad Mahrez will stay on board or jump ships.

Now, the Daily Mail write that star striker Jamie Vardy, a player whose 24 goals in 2015-16 played a pivotal role in their title success, could also be signed for a cut-price fee, as there is a £20m buyout clause in his contract.

This bargain price release clause was inserted into his Leicester deal upon signing an extension back in February, and can only be triggered by a club with Champions League football, could be seen as a last resort measure by the Englishman to play in Europe.

Of course, Claudio Ranieri’s boys have secured a spot in next season’s Champions League, but they should still be worried about the prospect of losing Vardy given the fact that he was scouted by Man City, whilst there is interest from Chelsea, Man United, and West Ham.

However, the report claims that the Premier League champions are keen on kick starting negotiations for new and improved contract for their star players in a move to fend off interest from other clubs.

However, the 29-year-old who is set to get married recently admitted that he’s happy at Leicester after their unforgettable season, revealing his desire to see all their players remain at the club for the upcoming season.

"We’ve just won the league and will be playing in the Champions League next year. I am happy here," said Jamie.

"We're all just like brothers, and winning the league, and having Champions League football next season, you hope it keeps everyone together."
