The Catalan club has confirmed their ace Luis Suarez has suffered from a thigh muscle injury.

Despite Barcelona signing off their season with the Copa Del Rey title, beating Sevilla 2-0, the Blaugranas have endured the harsh news of their star player picking up an injury that occurred in the 55th minute of the match.

The Uruguayan striker limped off the field before the hour mark during the Copa del Rey final clash, worrying millions of fans across the world. However, the night turned out well, as Barcelona clinched yet again another domestic trophy.

Furthermore, Suarez has been called up for the Copa America Centenario and will join Uruguay on June 1 to travel to the United States, but will still be recovering from his thigh trouble. According to the club's official statement, he will undergo his recovery phase in Barcelona until he departs to America and will continue the second phase with Uruguay, hoping to feature for his national team in the much-anticipated tournament.
