Yet another brilliant underdog story in football has been written miles away in Portugal as Braga shocked giants Porto in the final of the Taca de Portugal.

Braga secured a shocking 3-2 win over Primeira Liga giants Porto to clinch the coveted Taca de Portugal title. This was their second Taca title in their history.

Porto were clearly the favorites to win this final clash at the Estadio Nacional but Rui Fonte put the visitors ahead 12 minutes after kick-off. Porto then found themselves trailing by two goals thanks to a goalkeeping blunder in the 58th minute that gave Josue the chance to score.

However, the Dragons came back spitting fire when Andre Silva pounced on a loose ball to pull one back. In the dying minutes of additional time, Silva then netted a superb volley that sent the game to extra time. But this was just the beginning of more action. After a goal-less extra-time, Braga managed to score all their four penalties, while Maxilillano Pereira and Hector Herrera both missed their chances for Jose Peseiro’s side.
