Ángel Fabián Di María Hernández – simply known to the world as Angel Di Maria – is the 28-year-old South American football sensation that entered this world on 14 February 1988. Born in Rosario to Miguel and Diana, the footballer nicknamed “Fideo” (noodle) grew up in Perdriel, and currently plays for PSG and Argentina at an international level.

A versatile midfielder, Di Maria is capable of playing as both a winger – as seen during his early Real Madrid days – and in the number 10 role behind the striker – as seen once Mesut Ozil left the Bernabeu. The former Benfica ace has won league and cup titles everywhere he has gone, except for his awful season in England, winning the Primeira Liga, Liga BBVA, Copa del Rey, Champions League, and Ligue 1.

Making his debut for the national side back in September 2008, Angel is yet to win any FIFA related silverware with the senior side, having lost the World Cup and Copa America finals in consecutive years.
