Lewandowski has set a new record in the history of the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has once again proven why he is one of the most sought-after goal poachers in Europe. The Poland international was on target for the Bavarians as they cruised to a 3-1 win over Hannover 96 at the Allianz Arena. Pep Guardiola’s men came into this fixture having being confirmed the new Bundesliga champions of 2015/16.

Back to Lewa, the Real Madrid and Man United target is now the first non-German player to score 30 Bundesliga goals in a single season. The 27-year-old is also the top scorer in the just-concluded league campaign. He opened the scoring in the 12th minute through, then Mario Gotze added a brace to steer Pep’s men past the visitors.

To put the matter into perspective, out of the 78 goals scored by the German giants this season, Lewa has scored 30 of them.
