With the UEFA Champions League spot secured by the hosts, and sitting at the 10th spot of the Bundesliga standings, both sides will only want to give fans one more joy during the final match of the season.

The 2015-2016 Bundesliga season will come to an end this season, and two of the best stories German football provided had Bayer Leverkusen and Ingolstadt as main characters. The hosts will try to seal their domestic season in front of their supporters, while the visitors have already secured a second season among the best German teams.

Bayer Leverkusen will certainly use this game to offer a proper send-off to a season that had its ups and downs, but ended up giving them high hopes for next year. On the other hand, Die Schanzer will try to prove their good for this season  wasn't just a lucky punch, and what better way to prove it than beating the third-best team in the domestic tourmament.

Here's a quick look at how these teams performed this season.

Bayer Leverkusen

Roger Schmidt may opt to rest a few players that struggled with injuries all year round, just like he did last week against Borussia Mönchengladbach. That match ended a seven-game winning streak for Die Werkself, and even if it will be a more relaxed game with nothing to play for, some players will try to show their skills in order to guarantee their place in next season's roster.

Ingolstadt

Ralph Hassenhüttl's side will try to end the season with a bang, even if they haven't been able to win in their most recent four outings (one draw, three losses). In order to snap out of their current funk, the team's top scorer, Moritz Hartmann, needs to step up and deliver for the visitors. His 11 goals this season helped the team reach safe ground, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he could do the same to finish their first Bundesliga season properly.

Head to head

The only match between these teams was held back in December of 2015. Chicharito scored the game's only goal, and kicked off what would be a good unbeaten streak by Die Werkself before the second half of the season started.
