Atletico Madrid crashed out of La Liga title race after Diego Simeone's men lost 2-1 to Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de València.

Los Colchoneros slipped up away against Levante making La Liga a two-horse race. With both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid winning their matches on Sunday, the Spanish league will have to be decided on the final day.

Speaking to the post-match press-conference, Atletico boss Diego Simeone admitted that his side has no excuses for a bad game, yet remains proud of his lads and how far they have come.

Simeone explained: "There are no excuses. We are finishing a fantastic, enormous, season, and we have been just one game away from challenging Barcelona and Real Madrid."

"That is what makes me happy, as other times we have been out of the race with 10 weeks still left."

"We lacked a little, obviously. It pains me to be out, but I am happy to have fought this far. I am proud of what we have done."

Now that it has become mathematically impossible for Los Rojiblancos to clinch the domestic trophy, Torres and Co. will completely turn their attention to their anticipated Champions League final against long-time rivals Real Madrid.

Can Diego Simeone get his revenge on Los Blancos after their heartbreaking 2014 Champions League final loss?
