Ben Arfa has shared his thoughts regarding the reports linking him with a move to Barcelona.

By now, it is quite clear that Barcelona are interested in signing Nice star Hatem Ben Arfa. The 29-year-old, who also featured for Premier League sides Newcastle and Hull City, has been in sensational form for the Ligue 1 outfit this season, having scored 17 league goals for The Eaglets and provided five assists in 33 games.

It is no surprise that he has now attracted the attention of top European sides such as Chelsea and Spanish giants Barcelona. If he joins the Catalan giants, the attacking midfielder, who also plays as a winger, would provide the much-needed support in the hunt for goals by operating behind the MSN trio.

Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere recently confirmed that FCB were in ‘advanced talks’ to bring the sensational midfielder to Nou Camp next season, and also encouraged him to complete the move. Speaking to France 3, he said:

"Barcelona are indeed one of the numerous clubs who have asked for Hatem. Frankly, if it could happen I would be very, very happy for Hatem, who deserves to go to a club like Barcelona.

"You don't refuse a club like Barcelona, in my opinion, but it is his decision. If I was a player, I wouldn't ask any questions. I would go to Barcelona. I would be very happy if it happens and we are very happy for the club as well because it shows that at Nice we are capable of sometimes having exceptional players. But it's not yet done, according to what Hatem has told me. They are still in discussions."

Back to Arfa, he also hinted that he could make a move to Spain to join Luis Enrique’s men, but that decision would be made after his side’s last league match against Guingamp. He told Telefoot:

"When you like football, when you like playing, when you like good technique, Barcelona is Barcelona. It is a very very good club.’’
