Following their thrilling 3-0 victory over Villarreal in the second-leg of the UEFA Europa League at Anfield last Thursday, the Reds now welcome Watford at the same venue. Anfield has become a slaughter house for European giants such as Dortmund and Villarreal in the Europa League and Jurgen Klopp’s men are hoping to pass the same message to their weekend visitors.
At Anfield, Klopp’s men have won six and drawn two of their last eight games in all competitions, and they will be hoping to extend the unbeaten run when they welcome Watford. However, the visitors seem to have rediscovered their winning ways, having won two of their last three league games. Before that, they had failed to find a win in their previous six league matches.
Interestingly, then the Hornets clashed with the Kops earlier this season at the Vicarage Road, the former won 3-0. Although Klopp is expected to field a relatively inexperienced side, they should be able to revenge the first leg humiliation in the hands of Quique Sanchez Flores men.
For bookies, this game could register over 2.5 goals considering the fact that the hosts have scored at least two goals in their last three home games against Watford in all competitions. The hosts have also scored at lest twice in five of their last six home matches in the league.

Connor Randll could return for the hosts after recovering from illness to replace Nathaniel Clyne in defence. Mamadou Sakho and Bard Smith are set to miss this fixture due to suspension, while the likes of Divock Origi, Jordan Henderson and Jordan Rossiter are injured. However, Joe Gomez and Danny Ings could return to the starting lineup after resuming training earlier this week.
Watford
Both Etienne Capoue and Joel Ekstrand are expected to miss this clash. Valon Behrami will also miss due to a rib injury. The manager could retain the same squad that beat Aston Villa last weekend.
