With just two rounds to go in the 2015/2016 Serie A season, many of the teams in Italian football's top flight have already started looking ahead to next season. The teams in the top three - Juventus, Napoli, and Roma - will be Italy's representatives in the Champions League, whilst Inter and Fiorentina will be those featuring in the Europa League.

With just two points separating them from Napoli, Luciano Spalletti's Roma are in a good position to potentially pip the Partenopei to the runners' up spot. As has been in the case in the past couple of seasons, Juventus have won the Scudetto, whilst the Giallorossi have had to settle for second. This term, it's again the Bianconeri who have been crowned champions, but potentially it could be Napoli who gain second place.
Second place, of course, gives a side automatic Champions League football, whilst third means going through the dreaded play-offs. Naturally, this is something that Roma will be keen on avoiding, and wth six points up for grabs between now and the end of this season, they can certainly make this possible. After all, they did kill off Napoli's Scudetto chances by defeating Maurizio Sarri's side 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico and will be coming into Sunday's game on a three-match winning streak.
Indeed, since Spalletti's arrival, the Lupi have been quite excellent in Serie A. Not only have they managed to score at least two goals in 12 out of their past 15 league games but also have won the same number of matches (12 out of 15). Furthermore, Chievo are a side that Roma have enjoyed the historical advantage against: out of their past 24 meeting across all competitions, they have only lost two.

As for Chievo, they arrive in the Eternal City having picked up just one point from their past two games. The Flying Donkeys, as noted before, do not have a good track record against the Lupi, with just two victories out of their past 24 matches across all competitions. Additionally, trips to the Stadio Olimpico have been frustrating ventures for Sunday's visitors. In six out of their past seven journeys to the Italian capital, they have failed to score and hence will be hoping to take some inspiration from their impressive showing earlier this season that saw them record an impressive 3-3 draw against the Lupi.
