The German ace addressed claims he’s seeking a move away from the Emirates after a disappointing, trophy-less season.

Arsenal endured a disappointing, trophy-less 2015/16 despite appearing to be well on their way to their first Premier League title since 2004 at one point.

A run of horrible results saw the Gunners crash to third, with the fans turning on once beloved manager Arsene Wenger, as reports continue to claim some star names are ready to jump ship if the Frenchman stays on as boss.

One of those players is Mesut Ozil, with the German World Cup winner recently being linked with a return to La Liga in search of Champions League success, as per Marca.

After two roller-coaster campaigns in north London, the former Real Madrid ace found his feet this season with his 18 assists and 6 goals, yet has still seen his side fail to deliver the goods.

However, the 27-year-old handed huge hope to the legions of fans, as he came out to squash claims that he is unhappy at Arsenal and in search of a way out.

Speaking to French magazine Surface, Ozil said (as per The Mirror):

“I am under contract with Arsenal and I am very happy to be here now.

“I do not think about the future, I just think my current situation. I have goals for Arsenal. In the future you can never know in football.”

This will come as a huge boost to Arsenal, as they will be aiming to snatch the Premier League crown from current champions Leicester City next season.
