The Brazilian ace was 'treated' by his team-mates with a curious birthday gift, such as the one he bestowed upon fellow countryman Adriano back in October.

It's all smiles inside Barcelona's training facility, as one of their most influential players celebrated his 33rd birthday.

Right back Dani Alves celebrated another year with Los Blaugranas, and even though he's had his fair share of complicated moments this season, he was able to break a smile as his team-mates poured flour and added eggs to the mixture.

In a picture post on Instagram, the Brazilian seemed to be quite amused by the gesture, which was led by fellow countrymen Neymar, Rafinha and Adriano. The latter was treated with the same "present" back in October, with Alves leading the mob that assaulted the left back.

"I hope our friendship goes beyond football, but they should respect my age, huh? It doesn't matter, it's just a number"

Espero que nossa hermandade va alem do futebol meus manos. Deveriam respeitar mais a idade hein? brigadierinha São apenas números.

After Alves shared to the world how he celebrated his 33rd birthday, Neymar posted a picture on his Twitter feed praising the Brazilian while admitting he looks up to him.

"Every madman has a chance to live his madness, right? I wish you the best, I really look up to you"
