The Atletico boss insists he isn’t keen on getting back at Los Blancos after their 4-1 loss in the 2014 final.

On Tuesday, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone pulled another impressive result out of the hat – with big credit due to his tireless players – to book their spot in the Champions League final.

Los Rojiblancos lost to semi-final opponents Bayern Munich 2-1, but progressed to the ultimate game in Milan on away goals, as a sole strike from Antoine Griezmann knocked out Pep Guardiola’s boys from Europe’s top club football competition.

With the club from the Spanish capital through to the final, this means the world could witness another all-Madrid Champions League final for the second time three seasons, as Real Madrid can book their ticket to Milan on Wednesday.

The 10-time champions will host Man City at Santiago Bernabeu on the back of the 0-0 draw in the first leg in England, as the club welcome back star attacker Cristiano Ronaldo to bolster their hopes.

Atletico lost back in 2014 to their neighbors, as Los Blancos went on the complete La Decima – their unforgettable 10th win in the Champions League – on a 4-1 score line, yet Simeone insists revenge isn’t on his mind.

"I am happy," said the Argentine boss, as per Goal. "We want something else now but I don't believe in revenge. There are new chances in the life, not revenge. And this is another chance."

El Cholo’s boys suffered a heartbreaking defeat in Lisbon, as the game was pushed into extra time – before Les Merengues eventually won it – after the Vicente Calderon side conceded in stoppage time.

However, they could get payback should Cristiano and Co. get past the Citizens to meet the other Madrid giants at San Siro.
