The Citizens were handed a huge boost in their hopes of making the final, as they welcomed back their Ivorian ace.

Despite initial fears that he would miss the 2nd leg clash with Real Madrid, Man City announced the good news that star midfielder Yaya Toure is fit and ready to feature for the club in their trip to Santiago Bernabeu.

The Citizens headed to the Spanish capital on Tuesday in preparation for Wednesday’s all-important tie, with their Ivorian superstar being named in the squad for the semi-final meeting.

The 32-year-old African sensation missed out on the 1st leg match-up at the Etihad, which ended in a goalless 0-0 draw, as manager Manuel Pellegrini admitted before the game that Yaya could miss the trips to St. Mary’s Stadium and the Bernabeu.

Toure missed out on Sunday’s game, which Man City lost 4-2 to put their top four finish in the Premier League under risk, but appears destined to feature in the Champions League.

The former Barcelona midfielder was also joined by Sergio Aguero and the hero from their quarter-final triumph over PSG Kevin de Bruyne, both of whom were rested in the club’s costly league defeat over the weekend.

However, as predicted by Pellegrini, star playmaker David Silva misses out on the second leg after coming down with a hamstring injury during the goalless draw last Tuesday.
