Congratulatory messages for Claudio Ranieri are still pouring in hours after Leicester City were declared Premier League champions.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri could be the happiest man in the world right now following the famous and inspirational Premier League title win on Monday. The Foxes were declared the league champions following the 2-2 draw between Spurs and their rivals Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. This was Leicester's first ever Premier League win in their 132-year history, and Claudio Ranieri's influence as the manager has not gone unnoticed. The former Chelsea boss took over the king Power Stadium outfit at the beginning of the season and steered them to league glory, something that even the most-experienced pundits had not foreseen at the beginning of the season.

As football fans from across the world heaped praises on the Italian for his amazing achievement with a side that was widely considered the underdogs, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi wrote on social media:

"It's the greatest achievement in the history of English football, and it was led by an Italian."

Additionally, popular Italian newspaper published an image of Ranieri as the Roman emperor Claudius with the title ''King Claudio.''

The 64-year-old has one of the most inspirational journeys in modern football. Before signing for the English club, he was fired by Greece after a home defeat to Faroe Islands in a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying match.

One year down the line, he is making headlines all over the world for engineering one of the most astonishing title wins in the history of the English league.

Speaking to TV Rai on Monday after the win, Ranieri confessed:

"I always thought that sooner or later I would win a league title

"I'm the same man who was sent away by Greece.

"The only dedication I want to make to everyone is to tell them to believe and give things a try, not only in football but in every area of life."

The Foxes welcome Everton at the King Power Stadium this weekend for their second-last league fixture, before travelling to the Stamford Bridge a week later where they will be officially presented with the league title.
