Arsenal's Olivier Giroud could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium to join Bundesl

Popular German website Fussball Transfers has published a report that claims Wolfsburg are in the race to sign Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud. This comes barely a month after the Bundesliga giants parted ways with former Arsenal player Nicklas Bendtner. 

Giroud has been struggling to find the back of the net since the start of the year, and a section of fans have religiously called for his release, alongside club boss Arsene Wenger. He has now played 15 matches for the Gunners without scoring a goal, a statistic that erased the memories of his former lethal performances for the North London club at the beginning of the season.

The report published on the German website now claims that after releasing the controversial Bendtner, Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs is now plotting to make a move for Giroud this summer. Giroud’s position back at the Emirates stadium has been under constant threat from fresh talents such as Danny Welbeck and the ever-green Alex Iwobi.
