As Arsenal prepared to face Norwich City in their Premier League fixture on Saturday 30th April at the Emirates Stadium, a section of fans took the opportunity to criticize Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. But this time round, they took their criticism to a whole new level. In a match thronged by fans carrying all sorts of ‘WengerOut’ banners, a particular group of fans stood out.
The group carried a large red banner that read: ‘’Arsene, thanks for the memories but it’s time to say goodbye.’’ And as if the message was not visible enough by the French tactician, the fans could be heard chanting:
''Au revoir, Arsene Wenger, we’ll be happy when you die in May.’’

Despite the backlash from a section of fans, the Gunner’s beat the Canaries 1-0 thanks to Danny Welbeck’s effort. But the display was quite unconvincing with Olivier Giroud wasting numerous chances in front of goal.
The North London club is now fighting for a place in next year’s Champions League, after blowing away their chance to win the league title this season for the first time in over a decade.
