Just when Spurs fans were absorbing Fabregas’ comments, Hazard struck.

Eden Hazard faced the wrath of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter following his most recent revelation on-air. The Belgium international claimed that the Chelsea fraternity, including the players and fans, did not want Totteham Hotspur to win the league this season. Instead, they were rooting for high-flying Leicester City to clinch the coveted title. During the interview with BBC's Match of the Day programme, the out-of-form star said:

"The fans, the club, the players, we don't want Tottenham to win the Premier League

"We hope for Leicester because they deserve to be champions this season.

"We have a good game next week against Tottenham and if we can beat them it will be good."

As expected, his confession attracted the wrath of Spurs fans, who are hoping for a Leicester City slipup as the title race heads down to the last three games.

Interestingly, his teammate Cesc Fabregas had earlier told Sky Sports that he would want the Foxes to clinch the league title, and just like Hazard, the Spaniard also confessed that he did not want their North London rivals to clinch the title. He explained:

"I believe they'll [Leicester] have it wrapped up by then

"Spurs are pushing hard to get as close to them as possible but I think Leicester will win it and deservedly.

"I don't want Spurs to win it and, for what they've done through the season, I would love Leicester to win the Premier League."

Quite understandably, Chelsea and Spurs are London rivals in the Premier League and as a result of the confession, Spurs fans took to social media to respond. The two London rivals are set to clash in their next Premier League fixture at the Stamford Bridge, in what is expected to be a heated match and a moment of glory or humiliation for both sides following the recent confession from the Chelsea duo.
