The Blancos will play the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday in the first leg, then host them at the Santiago Bernabeu a week later for the return leg.

Ronaldo missed the La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano last weekend due to a thigh complain, while Benzema was also taken off after picking up a knock. Consequently, Gareth Bale had to do all the spade work to rescue the La Liga title contenders from the face of a disappointing defeat that would have jeopardized their title hopes with Atletico and Barcelona not willing to set their feet off the pedal.
