Man United will face Crystal Palace in this season's final of the FA Cup at Wembley.

Premier League giants Manchester United are set to face Crystal Palace in the finals of the FA Cup to be played on May 21.

The Red Devils beat Everton 2-1 at Wembley in the first semi-final thanks to a late winner from Anthony Martial. In the other second semi-final, Allan Pardew’s men cruised to a 2-1 win over Watford courtesy of Yannick Bolasie’s early opener and Connor Wickham’s finish in the 66th minute.

As the Red Devils clash with the Eagles  at Wembley in the final match of this season’s FA Cup, the South London club will be looking to settle a 26-year-old grudge with LVG’s men. The two sides locked horns in the 1990 final, which the Old Trafford outfit won after a replay.

The 1990 final was historic to both sides. For Palace, this was their first ever appearance in the finals of the competition. On the other hand, after a 3-3 draw in the first leg, the 1-0 replay result gave Sir Alex Ferguson his first trophy as Man United manager. After the disappointment in the final of the FA Cup against the Old Trafford club, Palace returned to Wembley a year later and won the Full Members Cup.

Former Man United man Wilfried Zaha will also be facing his former side in the finals, which is yet another reason to watch this epic clash. The Englishman was unceremoniously released by the Old Trafford club in 2015 and sent to join the Eagles on loan before sealing a permanent move.

The May 21st final now gives the two teams yet another chance to settle their age-old differences on the pitch. Interestingly, the two sides are out of contention for any other major title this season, including the Premier League, and will be hoping to end the season with at least the FA Cup in their trophy cabinets.
