With a first-half brace, and contributing to most of Barcelona's goals during the second half, the Uruguayan striker gave Los Blaugranas some room to breathe in La Liga.

Luis Suárez single-handedly erased all doubts regarding Barcelona's chances of winning La Liga with an impressive performance at Riazor Stadium. The Uruguayan striker scored four goals against Deportivo, two in each half, while adding a key assist to become the man of the match for Los Culés.

Suárez also managed to cut Cristiano Ronaldo's lead as La Liga's top scorer. With his goals today, the Uruguayan reached the 30-goal mark this season, trailing the Portuguese ace by only one goal.

His first goal today was involved in a bit of controversy, as he seemed to push Sidnei inside while trying to hit the ball. Despite some of Deportivo's players complaints, the ref decided to keep the flag down.

Minutes later, the Uruguayan capped a wonderful display by the MSN, sending the ball into the back of the net with his right foot.

After the break, Ivan Rakitic scored a nice volley inside the box thanks to a well-placed assist by Suárez. This was Barcelona's 150th goal across all competitions.

After his precise assist, Suárez scored the game's fourth goal thanks to Messi's second assist of the day.

While Deportivo tried to score a goal to keep their heads up, Neymar sent the ball to Suárez so he could score his fourth, but even if he failed to do so in his first attempt, he didn't miss from close range.

Suárez's performance was capped by a couple more assists, one for Messi and another for Neymar.

As of now, he has equalized his best goal scoring season ever with 49 goals across all competitions. The last time he was able to score so many goals was back in the 2009-2010 season, when he played for Ajax. Fans didn't waste any time to praise the Uruguayan.
