The team's captain believes they still have a lot to improve in order to eliminate the Portuguese champions in the UCL Quarter finals.

German defender Phillipp Lahm is worried about the team's most recent performances, hinting that Benfica could shock them if they don't improve in the second leg of their Quarter-final showdown.

In an interview with German outlet Kicker, the 2014 World Cup Champion and captain of Die Roten revealed that, despite their six-game winning streak, Pep's team has a lot of room for improvement.

"We must improve and we must improve fast. We are still winning games, though, and have been doing well defensively. But we have to work on our efficiency. We have missed a certain freshness in some of our recent games," Lahm stated.

The defender is set to equal Oliver Kahn's German record of 103 Champions League appearances.

The right back even labelled his team's recent performances as "sloppy", hinting that a change of strategy could come in handy if they want to reach the semi-finals of the continental tournament one more time.

"We did not put enough pressure on Benfica in their half. We have not been accurate enough on the ball. We have been sloppy at times and have been making the wrong decisions. We must be more precise," Lahm added.

Bayern managed to pull a 1-0 win against the Portuguese Eagles during the first leg played at Allianz Arena last week.
