The face of terror could resurface again in France during the Euro 2016 Championships.

French publication Liberation has revealed a shocking plan by Islamic terror group ISIS to launch attacks during the much-anticipated Euro 2016 Championship. The newspaper further reports that the revelations came from one terror suspect Mohamed Abrini, who was captured last week in Belgium after being linked with the Brussels terror attack where 32 people died and 300 others injured.

The Islamic terror group also carried out a similar attack on Friday Novermber 2015 during an international friendly match between France and Germany in Paris and it’s northern suburb Saint-Denis. In the attack, three suicide bombers struck a few meters from the Stade de France. What followed was a series of well-coordinated mass shootings at public places such as cafes, music halls and restaurants. The incident claimed more than 130 lives and injured more than 368.

The report also quotes a French police source confirming the tip-off:

''It’s not a scoop to learn that the terrorists want to strike during the Euros. Security forces constantly develop attack scenarios and the way to respond.

''If the Abrini statements are correct, it just confirms the fact that Belgium is an operational base that needs to be watched even more intensely. Jihadi networks and cells have been meeting there for at least ten years.’’

Abrini was captured in a CCTV footage along with his alleged accomplice Salah Abdeslam at the gas station in France a few moments before the attack. The paper adds that Abrini confessed that the initial plan was to attack the Euro 2016 which will be played from June 10 to 10 July. The French security forces are expected to beef up security before and after the much-anticipated tournament.
