Jose Mourinho's eyes are fixed on a return to the Premier League, probably to prove his doubters wrong.

Former Chelsea master tactician Jose Mourinho has hinted at a Premier League return in the summer. The Portuguese manager also revealed that although he has received several offers from various national teams, most recently Syria, and top clubs, he would want to stay in England.

The 53-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer to replace Louis Van Gaal as the new Man United boss, but has confirmed that he has not signed an agreement with any Premier League club. Earlier last week, English publication The Sun reported that the former Real Madrid boss was hunting for a house in Cheshire in preparations for his much-publicised move to Old Trafford.

However, in an interview with Sky Sports News, the Special One revealed:

“(Van Gaal) is my friend, I worked with him for a few years. I am always linked with jobs and in the summer I will have a job, but in this moment I can promise you I do not have a contract with any club.”

Regarding the job offer from the Syrian Football Association, he added:

“They (The Syrian FA) published (the offer) on their website the letter they sent to my agent. That one I have to say is true, but I have to say in a very special way we said we were not interested in the job.

“I have made this exception to speak with you (the media) because I didn’t speak for a long time, but I am going back to the same position. The only thing I can say is I don’t have a contract with any club but in the summer I will be back.”

About his expected return to management, he said:

“I am not in position to turn down (jobs). I am in a position to analyse, this is April, everything starts in July, every decision is made between May and the start of June.

“I am not in a position to deny, I am open to any club, national team, but I have to be honest, if possible, a club.

“I would prefer (to stay England). I love the country, the football here, my family is very stable and happy.”

Mou has also been linked with a shocking move back to his former club Real Madrid if the Spanish giants fail to cruise past the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season after losing 2-0 to Wolfsburg in Germany in the first leg tie. Whether he goes to Old Trafford or the Santiago Bernabeu one thing is quite clear; the Special One could be back to our screens in the summer.
