Borussia Dortmund will welcome Liverpool - and former coach Jurgen Klopp - to Signal Iduna Park for part one of their Europa League quarter-finals tie on Thursday, April 7th. Here are some live TV listings & online streaming options for Borussia Dortmund vs. Liverpool.

With just eight teams remaining in the Europa League, by far the most interesting quarter-finals tie will be that featuring Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool. Both die Schwarzgelben and the Reds had to navigate their way through tricky round of 16 matches against Tottenham and Manchester United respectively, and are now set to clash in the first of what will be an entertaining two-legged affair at the famed Signal Iduna Park on Thursday evening.

Borussia Dortmund

Under Thomas Tuchel, Borussia Dortmund have been flying high both in domestic and continental competition. Although the Bundesliga title looks likely to remain in Munich for another season, Dortmund are only five points behind the league leaders and will definitely make a return to the Champions League for the 2016/2017 campaign. In addition, die Schwarzgelben are still unbeaten across all competitions so far in 2016 and will be fancying their chances against Liverpool - despite the fact that the Reds are now under the tutelage of former manager Jurgen Klopp.

This will be the second consecutive knock-out tie that Dortmund have to face English opposition. In the round of 16, they easily dispatched Tottenham 3-0 at the Signal Iduna Park and overpowered them 2-1 at White Hart Lane. Indeed, historically, Thursday's hosts have a pretty good record against Premier League sides: out of their past 21 meetings, Dortmund have won 11, drawn four, and lost six. At home, they have lost just once, whilst winning six and drawing three.

So far this season, they indeed have been very impressive in Europe's second-tier competition, and indeed, the stats simply do not lie. Along with La Liga's Athletic Bilbao, die Schwarzgelben are just one of two sides to have made it all the way from the third qualifying rounds to the quarter-finals. Tuchel's side have won seven out of their ten fixtures since the start of the group stage - which is a better record than any other team presently featuring in the competition.

And with the exception of a surprise 1-0 reversal to Greek outfit PAOK FC, Borussia Dortmund have won the other six of their seven home games. For this upcoming match, Tuchel will have most of his key players available; only Neven Subotic and İlkay Gündoğan will be missing out due to injury.

Liverpool

Meanwhile, for Jurgen Klopp, this truly will be a special game. For the 48-year-old, it will be his first return to the stadium where he enjoyed a successful period with Borussia Dortmund, winning two Bundesliga titles and a runners-up medal in the 2013 Champions League final. Since his arrival at Anfield following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers, he has overseen a period of some improvement for Liverpool. Still, the Reds - who sit in ninth albeit with two games in hand - are still very much a work in progress and it will be interesting to see what work he can do following this summer's transfer market.

Given that a top four-finish is out of reach, Liverpool's best chances at featuring in Europe next season will be, of course, to win the Europa league title. So far, they are only one of three sides yet to lose a game in this season's Europa League, with the other two being Czech side Sparta Praha and Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk. However, they have drawn more than half of their ten Europa League ties so far - with six draws, and four of those stalemates have happened away from Anfield.

In fact, so far, the Reds have won just one game on the road - and will face a tough test against die Schwarzgelben to improve that record on Wednesday evening. Although Klopp will certainly receive a hearty welcome from Dortmund fans, it will be all business from the kick-off. As of now, he has guided Liverpool to their first Europa League quarter-finals since the 2009/2010 season and he will certainly hope to go one step further - at the expense of his former club - to lead them into the semi-finals and beyond.
