The player's agent has revealed his client will not continue playing with the Citizens once Pep Guardiola takes over the club's managerial duties next summer.

Manchester City failed to offer Yaya Touré a new contract as his agent had requested, and so, the Ivory Coast midfielder will leave the club next summer.

Dimitri Seluk revealed to Sky Sports that his client was "disappointed" by Man City's execs, who had promised to offer him a contract extension. Toure's current deal with the Sky Blues ends with the 2016-2017 season, but given Pep Guardiola's arrival to the club next summer, and Toure's desire to play elsewhere, his agent has opened the door for all contract negotiations.

"We have waited too long. Manchester City promised a deal but nothing has materialised so Yaya will leave in June. Yaya is disappointed of course. But he is a professional and he remains under contract so he will continue to do his best for City," Seluk said.

The 32-year old has already been offered new deals with some top European clubs, and one of those clubs would be Inter Milan, where the 2014 African Player of the Year would re-unite with his former coach at Manchester City, Roberto Mancini.

Mancini and Touré, during their time together with The Citizens.

Although Dimitri Seluk didn't assure his client would sign for the Neroazzurri side, he praised the club and their current coach, hinting that Touré would be more than happy to play for him again.

"Inter? We're definitely talking about a great club and everyone knows about the relationship between Yaya and Mancini, but like I've already said, we haven't made any decision yet. But I'll add that the Nerazzurri's project is great and Inter is a fantastic club. So it's normal that they want a player of this level," Seluk added.

Last week, sources claimed that Yaya Touré's chances of joining Inter would depend on him taking a huge wage cut. Seluk addressed that issue, denying money would be an issue for his client.

"Will the economic aspect make the difference? Absolutely not. We don't put money before everything, but the project the club presents us. The best will convince us," the agent concluded.
