Chelsea have officially announced Antonio Conte as their new boss.

Antonio Conte is set to manage Premier League giants Chelsea for the next three seasons. The Italian manager was previously in charge of Juventus in the Serie A, and steered them to three league titles in his three seasons at the club.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Conte said:

"I am very excited about the prospect of working at Chelsea Football Club.

"I am proud to be the coach of the national team of my country and only a role as attractive as manager of Chelsea could follow that.’’

He added:

"I am looking forward to meeting everyone at the club and the day-to-day challenge of competing in the Premier League.

"Chelsea and English football are watched wherever you go, the fans are passionate and my ambition is to have more success to follow the victories I enjoyed in Italy.

"I am happy we have made the announcement now so everything is clear and we can end the speculation. I will continue to focus on my job with the Italian national team and will reserve speaking about Chelsea again until after the Euros."

Conte will take over the Stamford Bridge club immediately after guiding Italy in the Euro 2016. He is expected to make some major signings in a bid to restore Chelsea to greatness after a disappointing 2015/16. The Blues sit at the 10th position on the log with 44 points, 25 behind league leaders Leicester City. The former Juve boss has been linked with a number of big-money signings, including the likes of Paul Pogba, Leonardo Bonucci, Edinson Cavani, Marco Verratti and Antoinne Griezmann.

Upon hearing the news of Conte’s impending arrival at the Stamford Bridge, a section of Chelsea fans took to social media to air their views ahead of the 2016/17 season, which is expected to be more entertaining than ever. Here are some of the reactions:
