The Spanish defender usually dishes out the jokes, but was now the punch line after the 2-1 loss.

The 2-1 defeat may have occurred on Saturday, but the embarrassment in the aftermath of the loss to Real Madrid in El Clasico is still being felt by Barcelona and their key players.

Despite boasting the home advantage, a 39-game unbeaten run, and a then 10-point lead, Luis Enrique’s crew were unable to sustain Cristiano and Co.’s attacks, as the Portuguese ace earned his side the win with an 85th-minute goal.

The sister of the 31-year-old superstar then added insult to injury by targeting one Blaugrana ace with a troll on Twitter.

It was none other than Gerard Pique, a player who is now infamous for trolling others on the broadcasting app Periscope.

The center-back scored Barca’s only goal, but was the punch line of Katia Aveiro’s joke, as Cristiano’s sister tweeted (as per AS):

"I wonder if Gerard Piqué will be doing a Periscope today? It all started with you, no?"

Unfortunately, this tweet, most probably deleted, no longer exists.

Katia tweeted this after her brother's winning goal in El Clasico

This tweet is in reference to the Barca man’s controversial “it all started with you” remark at the end of last season in which he credited Kevin Roldán for Los Blancos’ demise in 2014/15.

The singer had attended Cristiano’s birthday party, posting pictures of the celebration before Real Madrid’s 4-0 loss to Atletico last season.

The three-time Ballon d’Or winner has long been the target of jokes from Barca affiliates, players and fans alike, and was also the target during the Saturday’s game.

Disgusting insults were hurled at Cristiano during the minute of silence for the late Johan Cruyff. Watch in the video below.
