Struggling New England Revolution will welcome an equally floundering New York Red Bulls to Gillette Stadium on Friday, April 1st. Here are some live TV listings & online streaming options for New England vs. New York Red Bulls.

The 2016 MLS campaign might have just started, but several sides already find themselves in trouble after some early season difficulties. Two of those teams - New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls - will be hoping to right their respective unsteady ships as they clash at Gillette Stadium this Friday. Neither team are pleased with their current standing in the Eastern Conference and will be seeking a much-needed victory to re-start their disappointing campaign.

New England Revolution

Jay Heaps's side will be coming into this game having drawn their last fixture against New York City. New England were just one of a few sides to play this past Saturday, but have yet to win any of their past four games for the first time since 2001. With three draws and one defeat, they presently sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, and are at a disadvantage due to already having played a fourth game as opposed to most of the sides, who have only featured in three.

Fans will be hoping that the team will be able to rebound and avoid a fifth winless game, but New England will have to make do without both Je-Vaughn Watson and Gershon Koffie due to suspension. In terms of recent meetings, the hosts and their upcoming visitors clashed three times last season. New England won two of those - both being contested at Gillette Stadium - whilst the Red Bulls were the victors on the other occasion.

Friday's match will be the 33rd meeting between New England and the New York Red Bulls. And it's the hosts who have enjoyed the historical advantage, with 13 wins versus their opponents' seven. A draw, however, is not entirely out of the question, as 12 out of their past 32 clashes have concluded as stalemates.

New York Red Bulls

Like New England, New York Red Bulls have struggled so far this season. Jesse Marsch's men have won just one match so far - a 4-3 victory over Houston Dynamo on March 19th - and will be keen on making their way up the table. Although they are in sixth place with three points, a win could see them vault all the way up to at least third in the table - albeit temporarily until the other sides take to the pitch on Saturday and Sunday.

Compounding Marsch's task is the fact that his options in defense have been drastically depleted due to injuries. Four of his center-backs: Gonzalo Veron, Damien Perrinelle, Ronald Zubar, and Gideon Baah are all out with either knee or hamstring issues, forcing their coach to have to improvise. And given this, it is no surprise that the Red Bulls have the joint-worst defensive record in the Eastern Conference, with eight goals conceded in just three games.
