Luis Fuentes, who plays for Pumas UNAM, will apparently be out of commission for the rest of the tournament after landing abruptly on his left arm.

The Clausura 2016 tournament ended its tenth week of action on Sunday, but one of their performers may be forced to call it quits for now.

During Saturday's re-edition of last tournament's final between the current title holders Tigres and Pumas UNAM, a Mexican defender named Luis Fuentes tried to stop French striker Andre-Pierre Gignac from scoring, when he accidentally ran into his team-mate Marcelo Alatorre.  Fuentes wasn't able to control his body, and he ended up landing on his left arm.

The team's medical staff revealed Fuentes did not suffer any damage to his elbow's ligaments, but he could still remain away from the pitch for the next few weeks. This is the second time in this tournament in which Fuentes has injured his left arm.
