Barcelona defender has expressed his interest to play for a Premier League club.

Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has sensationally revealed his desire to play in the Premier League before he retires from competitive football. Although he did not reveal the exact club he would like to join, his recent revelations could trigger interest from his long-term admirers Chelsea and Man United. The 32-year-old was speaking during an interview with Daily Mail.

The Brazilian has spent eight seasons with the Spanish giants and won almost all major club titles available both domestically and internationally. The former Sevilla man has won five La Liga titles with Barcelona, three Copa del Reys, four Spanish Super Cups, three Champions League titles, three UEFA Super Cups, and three FIFA Club World Cup.

When asked about whether he was planning to play in the Premier League anytime soon, he responded:

''I don't know when, but I would like to play there – to experience what I have seen so many times from the sofa at home. The way the people experience football in England. The way there is a corner and it's cheered like it's a goal. I have always said that it was something that I wanted to do.''

The Catalan bigwigs are gearing up for their second-leg fixture of the Champions League against Arsenal at the Nou Camp.

Dani Alves is expected to man the defence and stop the Gunners from finding the back of the net. Having won the first leg fixture by two goals at the Emirates Stadium, the Blaugrana need to avoid conceding more than two goals in the return leg on Wednesday.
