The Argentine striker unluckily got hit by the Belgian captain during training for Tuesday’s Champions League game.

Being a professional footballer usually entails physical sacrifices, from putting your body on the line to protect the goal – or score (depending on your position) – to getting hit by the ball in unwanted places.

Unfortunately for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, he fell victim to the latter, as his side prepared for the 2nd leg Champions League clash against Dynamo Kyiv.

The Argentine forward took a ball to the face during a training session for their round of 16 tie, with a Vincent Kompany shot-gone-wrong striking the 27-year-old from 2 yards.

Watch the painful incident in the video below.

The Citizens’ Belgian captain was clearly apologetic, but by then the damage had already been done.
