A video doing rounds on social media shows Arsenal fans getting into a physical fight with each other outside the Emirates Stadium moments after their defeat to Watford in the FA Cup.
The FA Cup defending champions went down 1-2 in front of their vocal supporters at home, something that bundled them out of the cup they have won for the past two consecutive seasons.
There was frustration all over the Emirates Stadium as some fans took the opportunity to call for Arsene Wenger’s sacking. But one set of fans decided to take their disappointment to a whole new level by engaging in a physical fight outside the stadium. The exact cause of the fight is not yet clear, but one thing for sure is that frustration played a huge part.
The FA Cup was Arsenal’s most realistic chance of winning a title this season, considering their slim chance of beating Barcelona at the Nou Camp on Wednesday in the Champions League, and toppling Leicester City from the top of the Premier League table.
Astonishingly, the fans around the two warring parties kept urging them on.
