The Brazilian playmaker will start his second season with Orlando City next Sunday, when they face Real Salt Lake at Citrus Bowl.

Without making any judgement about who of them is the best all-around player, Brazilian star Kaká labelled Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the "most dominant players of their generation." During an interview with Algerian magazine Le Buteur, the former AC Milan player analyzed the impact these players will have in the near future, establishing what their legacy will be once they hang their boots.

"Both of them define the football of their generation. They are the stars of the sport. Lionel Messi is a genius and Cristiano is an icon of modern football," Kaká stated in the interview.

Particularly, Kaká analyzed why Cristiano Ronaldo should be considered as influential as Messi, even if the Argentinean has won much more titles than the Portuguese ace.

"He is a strong player, dominates the ball with both feet, heads the ball well, hits his penalty shots and that is why I say he is the embodiment of modern football," the footballer added.

Kaká and CR7 signed for Real Madrid back in 2009, but the Brazilian's stint with Los Blancos ended abruptly after a series of injuries.

Orlando City's Designated Player also spoke about his role to make the team one of the most followed around the world, keeping special focus on his home country, Brazil.

"For Orlando City, the objective is to create a franchise that has world recognition. For example, there is a strategy in place to bring Brazilian supporters in so they have identification with a U.S. club. This is our way to contribute to the development of MLS in the hopes that it grows into one of the biggest leagues in the world," the player concluded.

Kaká will play with Brazil in the upcoming international break

Coach Carlos Dunga decided to call up Kaká to play for Brazil in the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers for A Canarinha. Kaká will team up with Neymar and Philippe Coutinho to try and make Brazil reach the top of the South American Qualifiers.

The player revealed he will return to Brazil's National Team with a post in his Instagram feed.
