Lionel Messi surely knows that having friends in the world of football surely makes things easier.
Speaking in an interview with UEFA.com, the Argentinean superstar admitted that, despite what other players may think, having a friendly relationship with his Barça co-stars Luis Suárez and Neymar is what drives the team to reach higher and higher.
"It's wonderful playing with them. We get along really well on and off the pitch. We really are friends and that is really important to enable us to play this kind of football," Messi told UEFA.com.
Messi's words come just a week after Cristiano Ronaldo stated that friendship didn't matter when entering the pítch, since everybody was forced to act like a professional.

Barcelona's attacking trio has scored 93 goals between them in all competitions, getting closer to their 122 goal tally from last year. Luis Suárez has scored the most, with 41 goals considering every tournament. He is currently La Liga's top scorer with 25 successful shots.

Even if the Round of 16 tie against the Gunners seems to be sealed, the South American ace asked his team-mates not to lay back, since Arsenal could still shock them despite popular belief.
"It was a difficult match – we played against a great team and we had to work hard and dig deep to get this result. The second leg won't be easy, just like this game, but of course we are going to play to win from the off," "La Pulga" concluded.
