Ahead of the Serie B clash between Salernitana and Crotone, Lazio president Claudio Lotito told journalists that The Eagles had reached an agreement with Premier League side Manchester United over the transfer of their star midfielder Felipe Anderson. Lotito, who is also the chairman of Salernitana, was speaking to journalists from local newpapers Metropolis and La Citta di Salerno.
He said:
"Felipe Anderson will move to Manchester United next season, for €60 million".
"I bought Felipe Anderson for €8 million, and I've already sold him on for €60 million".
The 23-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder has scored six goals for the Serie A side in 24 appearances this season.

The Red Devils face Shrewsbury Town today in the FA Cup, a match that they have to win in order to book a place in the quarter-finals of the tournament. A loss for LVG's men could dent their hopes of winning any title this season especially after a dissapointing 2-1 loss to FC Midtjylland in their first leg fixture of the Europa League last 32.
Here are some of the reactions on Twitter following the confirmation of Anderson's pending move to Old Trafford:
Now Felipe Anderson could be the next Nani

So apparently we have agreed a deal for Felipe Anderson, Yet another player who is not needed. Stop giving this man money to spend.

How good is Felipe Anderson and is 60m € worth it?

How are going to buy Felipe Anderson when we don't even know who the manager is going to be in the summer
— Jay. (@F_750) February 22, 2016
Mourinho never wanted Felipe Anderson. Then why did the Lazio President say that?

Felipe Anderson is decent, but 46 million is day light robbery IMO

I am a bit skeptical about Felipe Anderson's abilities I think £46m is way too much. Lets wait and see how this one turns out.. #MUFC
