It is at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City that all the suspense will take place. 10 CONMEBOL countries as well as 6 CONCACAF sides will be divided into four groups, which will be contested between June 3 and June 14 later this year during the 2016 Copa America Centenario’s group stage.
Pot 1 contains the host country, along with the highest FIFA-ranked CONMEBOL team at the time the group seeds and tournament schedule were announced in December last year.
Pots 2 and 4 are constituted purely by CONMEBOL representatives, whereas Pot 3 includes the champions of the 2014 Copa Centroamericana and champions of the 2014 Caribbean Cup.
Pot 1: USA, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina
Pot 2: Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Uruguay
Pot 3: Costa Rica, Haiti, Jamaica and Panama
Pot 4: Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela
Each country from the team pots will then be drawn into one of the four group pots, which will each contain four participants, eventually. The grouping will be as follows:
Pot 5: A1, B1, C1, D1
Pot 6: A2, B2, C2, D2
Pot 7: A3, B3, C3, D3
Pot 8: A4, B4, C4, D4
Where to watch the 2016 Copa America Centenario Draw on TV or online?
In USA, the draw will be broadcast live on TV by Univision Deportes and Fox Sports 2 at 19:30 ET. Live mobile streaming will also be available via Fox Sports Go and fuboTV.
In Mexico, Gala TV will broadcast the event live at 18:30 CST.
In Argentina, DirecTV Sports, TyC Sports and TyC Sports Interior will all air the 2016 Copa America Centenario draw live on TV at 21:30 ART. Live streaming will additionally be available online and on mobile apps via DirecTV Play and TyC Sports Play.
