Paul Pogba seems to be consulting the right people in his quest to become the best footballer on the planet.

Paul Pogba has revealed that he takes regular advice from Lionel Messi in his bid to become the best player in the world. The Italian star aims to topple his Spanish counterpart at the top of the world football rankings. The two superstars were seen together at the 2015 Ballon d’Or gala when Lionel Messi won the coveted price for the fifth time in his career.

On the other hand, 22-year-old Pogba has always been candid on his ambitions as a footballer and is not willing to settle for less as far as conquering the world is concerned.

The former Man United man came 15th in the 2015 Ballon d’Or after steering the Old Lady to the finals of the Champions League in 2014/15. He also won the Serie A and Copa Italia with the Italian giants the same season.

In an interview with Telefoot, he revealed:

"Messi gave me advice when we spoke.

"I never expected to reach this level this early in my career, but I am not a star yet.’’

The Old Lady face Bologna in their next Serie fixture on February 19, 2016.
