The Italian tactician is set to become Bayern Munich's coach this summer, and he could be plotting a series of moves to sign James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema.

Ever since Bayern Munich announced Carlo Ancelotti will be taking over the team's managerial duties, a number of players have been linked to the Bavarian side. Nevertheless, a reliable source consulted by Spanish newspaper Sport claims that the Italian boss would be keen on signing Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez and French striker Karim Benzema.

Rodriguez, the 2014 World Cup's top scorer, has fallen down the pecking order during his sophomore season with Real Madrid, after putting up some astounding performances with Los Blancos last year, just when Ancelotti coached the Spanish giants.

After a number of incidents away from the pitch, which included a high-speed chase and a supposed refusal to execute pre-competitive exercises during a recent game, may force Real Madrid to part ways with the Colombian, who became one of the most expensive signings in football history.

Furthermore, Ancelotti would make an effort to sign Karim Benzema, considering a supposed bid by Los Blancos to lure away Robert Lewandowski. When the player is fully fit, he is a reliable asset for any team, and Ancelotti surely knows it aftet coaching him for the past two years.

Although Rodriguez's departure could be possible given his lack of discipline, the prospect of having Benzema leave Los Blancos sounds rather complicated, since Florentino Pérez has claimed time after time the French striker is one of his favorite players.
