Manchester United have set aside £300 million as their transfer budget next season, if they acquire the services of Jose Mourinho.
The Daily Star reports that the English giants are willing to spend huge in the next transfer window in order to regain their lost glory. Part of their huge spending will be splashed on Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho, who has been widely linked with a move to Old Trafford next season.

If the former FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid tactician joins the Red Devils, he is expected to make some big-money signings ahead of the new season. Although Man United have refused to comment on the reports linking them with the controversial but successful manager, one could easily assume that in this particular case, silence speaks louder than words. Given the fact that the English giants had earlier dismissed reports linking them with outgoing Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola before signing for Man City, their failure to respond to Mourinho’s links raises eyebrows.
The Daily Star further suggests that with the huge money offered to sign new players, the 53-year-old could go for the likes of Edinson Cavani, Neymar, Thomas Muller, Paul Pogba and Raphael Verane. The Red Devils have also been linked with a move for former Premier League stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale from Real Madrid. The English publication also claims that Jose could earn £15.5 million a year at Old Trafford, an amount that would make him the world’s highest paid tactician.
