Andrea Pirlo has finally expressed his views regarding the most creative player in Europe.

Legendary midfielder Andrea Pirlo has revealed that Mesut Ozil is the most creative player in Europe. The midfield maestro was speaking during an interview with Shortlist magazine. Pirlo, 36, shares some striking similarities with the Arsenal star, and his endorsement comes with little surprise. The former was even nicknamed 'The Architecht' due to his creative playing style, something that Ozil is widely associated with.

In the interview, he revealed:

“Maybe (Ozil is) the most creative player in Europe right now.’’

“[He] creates an unbelievable amount of chances for attackers playing ahead of him. He has vision like nobody else in Europe.”

The German international has created 97 chances this season and provided 16 appearances in 22 games in the Premier League this season, and looks on course to break Thierry Henry’s record of 20 assists in one season. Ozil celebrates one of his goals for Arsenal
