Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United clash for the second time in six weeks at the Stamford Bridge.

LiveSoccerTV.com brings you everything you need to know about this English derby, including team news, statistics, kick-off times and live broadcast info.

The two Premier League giants are both struggling to regain their previous form that made this encounter one of the most highly-anticipated derbies in the world of football.

Despite starting their title defense campaign on a wrong footing, The Blues have finally managed to pick up some crucial points under manager Guus Hiddink. This was not the case under their former manager Jose Mourinho, who, despite helping the West London club clinch the league title in 2014/15 season, failed to inspire his men to launch a fierce title defense campaign this season. To make things even better for Guus Hiddink’s men, the last time they failed to collect even a single point from this fixture was back in October 2012. Chelsea have an impressive record against the Red Devils, something that they would want to rely on when the two sides meet this weekend.

Unfortunately for the Blues, Luis Van Gaal’s men seem to have finally found their goal-scoring boots, particularly their captain Wayne Rooney who spent the first half of the season firing blanks. It was his poor performance in front of goal that sparked rumors that he could be headed out of the English club to settle probably in China. However, despite all the controversy and backlash surrounding his career in 2015, the England captain kicked off the New Year with five crucial goals for his side in the Premier League, most recently against Stoke City at Old Trafford.

He has now scored seven Premier League goals for Man United this season in 20 appearances. Wayne Rooney celebrates scoring against Stoke City on Tuesday night Sunday’s performance at Old Trafford seemed to have eased the pressure on Van Gaal to resign and he will hope to silence his critics by beating Guus Hiddink’s men at their own backyard when the two sides clash over the weekend.

The Red Devils face an acid test to prove their top four credentials after beating Derby County 1-3 in the FA Cup and Stoke City 3-1 in the Premier League. They now want to finish at least within the top four slot or even compete for the title if the top teams slip, something that would earn them qualification for the Champions League. On the other hand, they come face to face against a side that has won each of their last three encounters at the Stamford Bridge.

All eyes will be on Chelsea's Deigo Costa, who is famous for his short temper on the pitch. Diego Costa in previous action for Chelsea

At a time when the partnership of Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial seems unstoppable, this fixture brings the perfect opportunity for Man United to prove whether or not they are to be taken seriously in their quest to finish within the top four slot, or whether or not Chelsea are willing to rise above the bottom half of the table to a respectable finish.
