The Gunners can't afford losing more ground in their quest for the Premier League title, and they will try to climb back when they face Bournemouth. Check out our preview for Bournemouth vs Arsenal.

Four consecutive games without a win have made Arsenal drop from the top of the table to a not so flattering fourth place. But if Wenger's crew wants to jump back on the Premier League's title ship, a win against fifteen-placed Bournemouth would surely come in handy. Although that could be easier said than done, considering Eddie Howe's crew has won two out of their last three games, with former Gunner Benik Afobe showing great skills.

A win for Arsenal, combined with a couple of results, could make them climb up to the second spot of the table, while Bournemouth can't afford losing their seven-point cushion regarding relegation spots.

Bournemouth

The Cherries were one of the most active teams in the recently concluded transfer window. With a number of key adquisitions, Eddie Howe and his men are trying hard to avoid relegation during their maiden season in the Premier League, and with performances such as the one against Crystal Palace, they surely have shown enough stamina to do so.

For this match, the Cherries will not have top scorer Callum Wilson available, but Benik Afobe's current three-game scoring streak could prove quite useful when he faces his former team.

Arsenal

Four games have gone by since Arsenal's last Premier League win, and now Arsene Wenger's crew clings to the 4th place by a narrow margin. Even if the team has endured a number of losses due to injury, it seems that the Gunners don't know how to win when most of their top performers are fit. The decline of Mesut Özil, Olivier Giroud and with Alexis Sánchez still recovering match fitness, the London-based side will try to defend their turf against the tough hosts.

For this match, Wenger won't have Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky available. On the good side, Francis Coquelin is fully recovered and will surely be included in Wenger's squad to face the EPL newcomers.

Head to head

This will be just the second match between Bournemouth and Arsenal. Their previous meeting, held on December, ended with a 2-0 scoreline for the Gunners.
